For a 14-day export insurance policy, the vehicle’s Dutch roadworthiness inspection (APK) must remain valid for at least 14 days from the export deregistration date. Check the expiry date before your appointment.

Export checklist: bring or prepare

The vehicle’s registration plates.
The current odometer reading.
The Dutch RDW registration card and its registration code (tenaamstellingscode).
The buyer’s identity document (or a copy), together with the buyer’s full address.
